I'm so stressed out. I can't sleep and I feel like I need to vomit. I REALLY don't want to run the restraunt by myself. I'll have two shifties and the assistants from the other store are going to help out one or two days a week so I can actually have time off. Hate this because I'm not only stressed out about work but I'm really freaked out by the idea of Ken going into such major surgery. I guess I'll try sleeping again.

So... I know it's very bad of me but I kinda really wish this E.coli scare ends up being real tomorrow because my saute cook for tomorrow is out with the flu and I got hit by massive blues today. So I want to have to just go to the restaurant and write a sign saying that we are closed sorry and call everyone off. It's been awhile since I've felt this lonely. And I don't really want to be cheerful for my employee's tomorrow. One more day please.

People are being mean down in the laundry room tonight. I just want to dry my clothing! Stop stealing the dryer. : Huff. :

How come no one told me there is a TV show with a girl with my name on it? Of course it's probably spelled Brita or Britta and not Briita. But STILL. Hearing my name repeated on a TV show is very exciting. They even threw in the obligated water filter joke. Community is a decent comedy. Everyone has good comedic timing. I'll be watching this from now on too. On top of all the other shows I watch. Too many. Don't have time. ;-;

On a much less happier note. I'll probably become even more scarce in the next few months. My general manager is having heart valve surgery and so as the assistant manager I'll have to take over running the store while he is gone. I'm pretty scared right now. Both for Ken and for running the store. Everything is in a much better place than the last time I ran the store myself. And then I don't want anything to happen to Ken at all. We've become really close during our time working together and heart surgery is really scary. I was going to make cards again this year but with everything that is happening I have to put that idea to bed. So I feel really bad about that. It's my favorite thing about the Holiday season.

I popped a rib at work yesterday and it hurts so much.

Working like this makes me extra tired. I could go to sleep right now. I took a nap yesterday. :(

In other news I am actually excited for Thanksgiving this year. I'll be making a bunch of vegan food with Lisa since she can't eat dairy or soy because of her baby. He's allergic to it so she's had to cut it all out of her diet. We'll be baking and cooking all the day before Thanksgiving. And I have a 4 and a half day weekend. Niiice.

So... Sweet Jayne's the clothing shop on Broadway? AMAZING. Pretty much everything is 18 dollars. I bought a pair of jeans for 18 dollars and one of hte long sweaters things I've been trying to find for 18 dollars. ALSO I found another pair of jeans on the sale rack and noticed that the zipper was a little busted. So she gave me the jeans for free nad told me to go down the street to get the zipper fixed .. about 8 dollars. And bam. 8 dollar jeans. I'm pretty stoked.

Oh work I love you.  You gave me my regular pay AND the PTO on top of that.  Lovely.  I will not be informing you of your mistake.  Because I like the extra day's worth of paid time.

My vegan cupcakes smell soooo good.  I want to eat one already.  ;-;

Wow.  When I say: "muffin tin, you know .. what you bake muffins in?"  Does that confuse you?  The two girls on the phone still had no idea what I was talking about.  I had to clarify further.  Then she said yes and hung up on me.  :(  So if I go there and they end up being out of muffin tins because she didn't actually check to see then I am going to be really sad. 

Anywho, I'll be baking and sewing tomorrow like a good little homemaker.  Cupcakes both vegan and regular for my crew and finishing my costume for Halloween.  :D

I love my new computer.  : Pets it. :

Tired now from all my shopping.  My Safeway usually has muffin tins.  None to be found tonight.  Bummer.

So!  I have a brand new laptop.  :D

It is so pretty.  It's a sony viao.  15 inches, duo core, 4gb ram ect ect.  I love it.  And Windows 7 is so nice as well.

I feel like we keep getting a never ending visit from corporate at work.  And today I got a disappointed call from my area manager about how we were over in hours and why and who is going to pull a double to fix it.  That was lame.  And we are only 9 hours over nothing compared to the 64 hours another store has.  I really hope there is a good reason behind those.  Ouch.  But I was already well on my way to trying to fix the labor crisis when he called by cutting five and a half hours just in the morning.  Oh well.

Enough about work my favorite holiday is coming up!  And I got a surprise bonus PTO day so I'm going to take a three day weekend for Halloween.  :D  Not only that but my costume is slowly becoming the best yet.  And one I've wanted to do for awhile.  I'm going as a Ringmaster.  I have a top hat and a whip and I'll be wearing my new booties that have straps, fishnet hose, my short black skirt and two pieces that I'm making/altering myself.  The first being a black jacket that I bought at Ross that I'm making into a cropped jacket.  The other being a new bodice that will hopefully have detachable tails.  We shall see how that turns out.  I'm very excited.  Not only that but I have guaranteed best friend time and it seems I'll also get to hang out with a friend I haven't seen in awhile.  Whoo.  Shaping up to be a great Halloween.  Plus it gives be the excuse to wear my new fake eyelashes that have feathers on the corners.  :D

Also I recently went to the Owl City concert.  He is so adorable!  I really enjoyed the concert.  He was very energetic and he rocked out during his songs but then he got all shy in between.  I wanted to squish his little cheeks.  And after Thanksgiving I get to see Storm Large's Holiday concert.  That will be fantastic.  And it was mostly all paid for by my company's new VP.  What... crazy. 
 
AND!  I have enough money to buy myself a new computer.  Finally.  My poor laptop died on me and now I'm using an Eee PC.  It's so tiny.  I could actually stick it in the pocket of my hoodie.  :O

It actually depends on who I'm going with.  Because if it's with family.  Hotel please and thank you.  Friends both are fun in their own way.  I like camping because you aren't required to do anything but hang out.  :D

I love getting to dress up.  Bought myself a beautiful hat.  Glad I didn't buy much more than that.  Spendy but very well worth it.  Custom. 

Got to spend time with Linda and Kenji. 

My life as of late has consisted of me working a lot and trying to do things for myself on my days off and not just sleep it away.  We hit big quarterly bonus and so I'll be getting a nice big extra check in the next 2-3 weeks.  Going straight into travel funds.  :)  Got to get ready to go see my friend Jane in Tucson.  I'll be going down in November. 

Last weekend I saw my longest friend's baby for the first time.  He's three months old and super chubby adorable.  It made me so happy to get to be around him.  Babies are my favorite.  It's so weird for me to think that my friend has a baby now.  We've known each other since we were two years old.  And now she has a little one of her own.  I get to be an aunt.  And tomorrow I get to see my ♥nephew♥ because we are meeting up at Saturday market.  

Today's taking care of myself included yoga in the morning and a vigorous cleaning of my apartment.  I'm going to be very sore tomorrow.  I was super energetic after the yoga class but I could feel where the soreness would set in after the class.  It was a pretty difficult class and I'm please with how well I did.  I plan on taking more classes in the near future!  She was an excellent teacher.

It's been a decent few weeks.  I've just been very lonely. 

I've been really distracted lately by stupid things.  Mostly bandom even though a year ago I swore I wold never fall into that.  Oh wow how has that changed.

I really shouldn't have had anything to drink tonight.  But I'm feeling loose and nice and I might actually fall asleep tonight.  Whoo.  Too bad I have to get up so early tomorrow for a doctor's appointment.  Bummer.

I've been reading a ton lately.  And it's joyous.  Too bad books are falling to the wayside.  I need to start reading on the stack by my bed.  Books are my favorite.

So we had a manager's BBQ last night.  Things that happened at this said party:

• My general manager almost burnt his house down with his wife inside.
• I got a mouse in my pants.
• We saw a UFO.
• And I was given a bunch of free stuff.

It was a crazy night.  We are all pretty close at my work with-in the managers and it trickles down into the crew.  We like working with each other a lot.  So this night was fun.  We were all eating outside except for my gm's wife who was still getting something from inside when
Sissy points out that one of the tiki torches is going up into flames that are more than it should have.  The wooden part under the flame was also burning.  This also happened to be the torch nearest the house.  He had to topple it down cover it in dirt and douse it with water.  :D

Then later on their cat Tuxie decided to give me a present by bringing me a mouse.  The mouse of course was scared and wanted to hide.  It choose my pant leg to crawl up to be safe.  At first I didn't realize I had something in my pants.  Once I did it was that I was scratching and itch and there was a lump that was moving.  Thus being a girl I shot up out of the chair squealing and ended up running inside to the bathroom.  Thank you I did not want to pants myself infront of all the managers at my store.  Once I got my pants down and saw that it was a tiny little mouse I stopped freaking out.  Renauda then freaked out instead.  If I had realized it was a mouse all along I would have been a lot calmer.  They don't scare me at all.  I tried to pick it up to put it back outside but it scampered away under the cupboard.

Little later still we were all sitting outside except for B-sizzle who had gone inside to pee.  There were two lights heading in somewhat our direction though they veered off a little later.  These two lights were pretty bright except and on pont on of the lights got really dim.  And the odd this is that this was not a place.  Not red lights at all just the two yellowish ones.  And that they didn't fly in a line.  They wobbled away from each other and back and just moved in really weird ways.  We had no idea what it was and it was weird.  Twenty minutes later air force flew in the direction it went.  Just saying.  Creepy UFO.

And my GM's wife gave Renauda and I some free stuff.  That I will use the heck out of.  :D

And it was a crazy party.  Purple mohawks and all.  (purple mohawks are a very yummy drink btw)

So my uncle told me today that my aunt went to go buy me the most beautiful kimono I've ever gotten to touch when she went back up to Anacordis.  However... It was gone.  And so I am so very sad that I now know that they were going to get it for me but couldn't.  I have that knowledge and it hurts.  This kimono was so pretty.  : Sigh. :

Also both my uncle and my mom are having garage sales this weekend.  Something is in the water.  It's been years since either has had a garage sale. 

Unrelatedly work has been really getting to me recently.  Mostly it's because my arm still is healing and I get tired easy.  I've decided to start going to yoga twice a week.  I just need to figure out what location I want to go to.  And farmer's market tomorrow morning!  Where I will be buying pesto in either the vegan or goat cheese variety, cheese curds, ciabatta rolls, and lots of fruit and veggies.  Yum.
